New Zealand's Vodafone Warriors take on the Sydney Roosters at the Rotorua International An important pre-season workout for both teams.
As an added bonus the Vodafone Warriors Toyota Cup team will come up against a regional invitation side in the curtain raiser.
After a disappointing year in 2009, the Warriors are rebuilding and will take the field under the new captaincy of Simon Mannering. The team includes a star studded list of international players including Kiwis Mannering, Lance Hohaia, Kevin Locke, Ben Matulino, Sam Rapira, Jerome Ropati, and Kangaroos Brett Tate.

The TriWoman event offers both a Triathlon and Duathlon option, with participants taking part on flat easy courses with swims in shallow water over no more than 300m in distance, bike rides of approximately 10km and a run or walk of approximately 3km to finish.
All finishers receive a finishers medal, and go into the draw to win a Suzuki Swift. All entrants receive a 2XU Event T-Shirt (RRP $55) and a Swim Cap.

The most spectacular off-road half marathon in the country held in the magnificent Whakarewarewa Forest. The scenic two lap course utilises scenic forest trails and smooth gravel forest roads. An exciting option to the andfrac12; Marathon is the New Balance 10k Fun Run/Walk - this non competitive event is suitable for runners and walkers of all abilities with the course using scenic forest trails and smooth gravel forest roads. All events start and finish at the Waipa Sawmill Recreation area. Special kids events for children aged 4 through to 12 years make this the perfect day out for all the family.

Open to anyone with a bike! This legendary road cycling event takes competitors on a fast, fun and scenic journey from one world famous tourist destination to another.
Cyclists have the option of riding solo or in relay teams of two with drink/aid stations provided along the way.
The event hosted 3800 riders in 2009 and the organizers are expecting to exceed 4000 riders for 2010.
As an added incentive all competitors are eligible to win over $100,000 in spot prizes and giveaways, so dust of that bike and join in the fun.

The car park will be used for displays as well as any heavy machinery which can not be taken into the EEC. A display area next door at the Government Gardens Golf driving range is for heavy equipment and demos.
